Deep ruby red in colour, this wine has a fruity bouquet with a distinct aroma of bitter almonds, liquorice and small red berries. Clean on the palate, markedly elegant and tangy, yet still fresh with fruity notes of cherries and plums. Pairs well with simple Mediterranean cuisine, above all pasta and seasonal soups, tasty appetizers such as 'lardo' (bacon fat) and warm 'bruschetta' drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, white meats and cold cuts.
Serve at 15-16°C (59-61°F).
